Anna Zhijun Xu is a multidisciplinary jewellery artist, visual designer & strategist based in Eora/Sydney.
Her design & research practice weaves together sentimentality and sustainability, exploring translations of memory & identity through digital cyberspace. With a discursive focus on cultural analysis & positioning explored through the intersection of print and online, she is currently interested in alternative archives, subjective histories and critical explorations of power through an intersectional diasporic lens.
Her jewellery brand, Ophiuchus, has been showcased in Australian Fashion Week (2024, 2025) through collaboration & accessories direction with Australian designers Injury & Haluminous. Sharp-edged armour & gentle tenderness, Ophiuchus is a meditative practice inspired by ancient stories, myths, symbology & arts. Exploring the fine intersection between self-expression and sustainability, she adopts a multidisciplinary approach to create ethereal wearables & organic sculptures, staying true to a vision for authenticity through self-expression, inclusivity & constant rebirth.
